Dr. María José Vasena
I’m very pleased to be here serving the Hawthorne community and the surrounding area.
I grew up in Argentina and earned my MD degree there. I trained as a pediatrician in Buenos Aires at the “Hospital de niños Dr Ricardo Gutierrez”, one of the biggest pediatrics centers in Argentina!
After my 4-year pediatrics residency, I worked in different facilities and I opened my own practice in the town where we lived. I enjoyed working with the local community and at the hospital in the NICU service. After moving to the United States I completed my second residency at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Paterson, received certification from The American Board of Pediatrics, and have since served this community!

- I speak Spanish; it is my first language.
- I like sports
- I like to read and to sing (I love karaoke! Maybe I will sing to you!)
- I love to cook and to do arts and crafts.
- Our family has 2 lovely pets: one dog (Yorkie) and a cat.

We make it easy to get the care your child needs without the hassle.
We will be available for our patients around the clock but; like you,
sometimes we take time off. At these times, we will direct you to the
appropriate facilities in our absence.
